communication

like ancient war time shows,
messenger are used to convey messages btw countries.
just when the messenger din have e wisdom to,
say what is suppose to say or not suppose to say,
the king got furious and the messenger?
got hung. hurt. died.
what was the king hearing? or listening?
did the king matter bout himself? the message? the opposing country?
or most of the time we see in shows, the king doesn't matter the messenger.
he is just a messenger, got killed for saying wrong.
